Best known for her wedding gown collection, Vera Wang has captivated the attention of fashionistas with her artistic, feminine, and romantic touch. Growing up frequenting fashion shows in Paris with her mother, Vera is no stranger to the fashion world. Vera dreamed of being a figure skater, however failed to make the U.S. Olympic team, and to our benefit, threw her heart and soul into fashion. Vera began her prodigious career as the senior fashion editor for Vogue, followed by two years as the Design Director for Ralph Lauren. In 1990, Vera opened her first bridal boutique in New York City and the rest is history. She was recognized by the industry, winning the CFDA award in 2005 for her ready to wear collection and has become a fashion icon.
